UN chief calls for Canadian climate action
Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki Moon, paid a visit to Ottawa yesterday and spoke to a room of 400 members of civil society. His message? Make climate change a priority at the G8/G20. He later met one on one with the Prime Minister to deliver the same message. Over the last two weeks, Prime Minister Harper has heard calls from the majority of Parliament, European Members of Parliament and now the head of the United Nations to take real action on climate change.
There is still 6 weeks to go before the G8/G20 summits, so make sure you add your voice to the calls - check out the At the Table campaign to get involved.
