The Robin Hood Tax: 
A tiny tax on banks that could raise billions of dollars for fighting poverty and climate change at home and abroad!

This week, the International Development Ministers wrapped up their meetings in Halifax in preparation for the G8 Summit and yet again, there were no discussions on climate change and how countries will meet their financing targets agreed to in the Copenhagen Accord. British Columbia's new Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) is too weak to effectively fight global warming, according to an analysis released today by Environmental Defence Canada and Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
The groups compared BC's standard to the pioneering California one, and found BC's effort to be significantly flawed.
