Join Thousands of Canadians Who Support a New Global Agreement on Climate Change
... One that Builds on the Best Elements of the UN Framework Convention and the Kyoto Protocol
In its September Speech from the Throne, the Government of Canada committed to climate change as a priority issue. This is great news - in theory. The challenge now is making sure they follow through on their promise.
Pay attention to what the Government of Canada does in Bali ...
and be sure to tell them what you think
The Government of Canada is hoping Canadians will not pay close attention to what it says and does in Bali. You can put a damper on their plans by tracking what Environment Minister Baird does in the days leading up to Bali, and also what he says and does at the conference itself. The decisions Canada takes and the role it plays in Bali will clearly demonstrate its real position on climate change.
Tell your local MP, Minister Baird and Prime Minister Harper your concerns about global warming and that you expect them to join progressive countries in taking the strongest positions in Bali.
Here are some good links to get you going:
- Keep it Cool: Send Government a Wake-Up Call.
“Under 2 Degrees Celsius: Keep Canada in Kyoto” is a new website for Canadians who want to pressure elected leaders with a wake up call by phone or email, and by contributing to its amazing growing photo gallery. Join the campaign to send a “Wake Up Call” to the politicians and demand action NOW..
